Mrs. Richard Williams Dies; Rites Wednesday
Mrs. Grayce P. Williams, 41, wife of Veterans Administrator Richard A. Williams, of Bloomfield Rd., New Concord, died at 6:45 a.m. Monday in Cambridge Community Hospital after being hospitalized the past two weeks. She had been ill 16 1/2 months.
Born April 24, 1919, in Bridgewater, Pa., she was a daughter of George and Lena Griffey Pettit. She was a member of First U. P. Church, Guernsey Chapter 211, OES, Cambridge Shrine 14, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and formerly was a registered nurse at Protestant Episcopal Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa.
Besides her husband and her parents, she leaves two sons, Brent Chadler [sic] and Brad Allen, both of the home; and one sister, Mrs. Lawrence Hines of Elkhurst, W. Va. One sister preceded her in death.
The body is at Scott Funeral Home where friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday. Last rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by Rev. Charles McCormick. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
