Know all men by these presents that we Patty Young Richd Nally & Thos Young are jointly and severally holden & firmly bound & obliged unto John Thomas JunrEsquire Ordinary of 96 District in the State aforesaid in the sum of two thousand pounds sterling to be paid unto the said John Thomas or his successors for the time being in the said office, or his Atto or assigns to which paymt will and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each of us jointly and severally firmly by these presents.  Sealed with our seals & dated the fifth day of August    A D 1784

Whereas Administration of all & singular the Goods and Chattels Rights & Credits which were of Nathaniel Young deceased were lately committed unto the said Patty Young by the said Ordinary.

The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the said Patty Young do & shall well & faithfully administer all and singular the goods & chattels rights & credits which were of the said deceased & which shall come to the hands or Knowledge of her the said Patty Young to be administered & make distribution of what shall remain after paying the debts and funeral expences of the said deceased in due course of law, then this obligation to be void, Otherwise to remain in full force & virtue.

To Ralph Smith Esquire
I Reposing trust and Confidence in your care & abilities have by these presents given you full powre to qualify three freeholders to appraise the goods and chattels of Nathl Young Deceased which shall be produced to you for that purpose by Patty Young Administrator of the said deceased's Estate.  I certify the same ----
Given under my hand & seal the 5th day of Augt A D 1784

Esquire Ordinary of sd district to Aleck Alexander Richd Chesney and Jacob Earnest Wm Clanton freeholding  These are to authorize and impower you or any three of you to repair to all such places in this district as you shall be directed unto by Patty Young Administratrix of all and singular the Goods & Chattels Debts and Credits of Nathl Young Deceased wheresoever any of the Goods and Chattels of the said deceased are within the said places & which shall be shown unto you by the said Administratrix and there view and appraise the same being first Sworn to make a true and perfect Inventory & appraisement thereof and cause the same to be returned under the hands of any three of you unto the said Patty Young in sixty days from the date hereof
            Given under my hand & seal the 
            5th day of August 1784

This 21st day of august 1784 personally appeared Aleck alaxander Richd Chesney Jacob Earnest William Clanton being foure of the appraisers appointed to appraise the goods and chattels of Nathl Young Deceased before me and made oath that the[y] would make a just & due appraisement of all & singular the goods & chattels of the said deceased as shall be produced by Patty Young Administratrix of the said Deceased Estate and that they would return the same Certified under their hands unto the said Administratrix within the time proscribed by law

Spartanburgh County { Personally appeared Richard Nalley and duly made oath that an [?] that Edward Hooker had against the Estate of Nathaniel Young Decd he purchased of Joel Hembrey and settled with Jo Hembrey for said acct and that is is lost or mislaid so that he cannot come at it and that the acct was for [?] cows and calfs and one Guinea Or five gunies and believes the [autiwan] [?] first that was proved against sd estate and further saith not
