In the name of God Amen. I Lewis Craig senior of Mason County and state of Kentucky being infirm and well stricken in years but sound of memory and intellectual mind Do publish, make and ordain this my last will and testament being under strong impression of an awful Eternity, and in full confidence of assurance having recommended my Soul into the keeping of that all Gracious God who gave it me nothing doubting but at the last day he will receive me into his kind embraces as my sole trust in in the meretorious[sic] Cross and Passion of my Dear Redeemer for my salvation and as in my present situation my affairs being much embarrassed that whereas I formerly executed an instrument of conveyance to my son John Craig and Whitfield Craig reference being had thereto will more fully appear my will and desire is that as far as that writings extent my said sons aforesaid should discharge my debts but more particularly first discharging those debts which may release those whom have been my securities and after remunerating themselves for their expences[sic] and trouble in so doing if any remainder to be equally divided among my children in general and in order that the same may be done and executed in a just and equitable manner. I have constituted and appointed my sons Lewis Craig Junior and Elijah Craig my sole Executors of this my last will and testament.
In Testimony of this my last will and testament, I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal this 12th day of June 1821. signed, sealed, and delivered in presence of us the subscribing witnesses thereto
