JUDGE S. H. HODGES DIES AT WICHITA FALLS HOME

    WICHITA FALLS, Texas. May 29. — Judge Samuel Houston Hodges, 73 years old, one of the pioneer lawyers of Northwest Texas, died at his home in this city Wednesday night. He had been in poor health for the last six months and returned from California three weeks ago.
    Born in Missouri, he studied law in Tennessee and came to Texas when a young man, taking up his residence in Grayson County. Later he established a law practice in Decatur and then moved to Montague. In 1889 he moved to Wichita Falls, where he practiced law until a few years ago.
    He was a member of the Texas Legislature for one term.  He is survived by the widow and two sons. Funeral services will be held Friday morning.
