John Proctor to Mary Mitchel }
Know all men by these presents that I John Proctor of Mount pleasant Township County of Westmoreland & state of Pennsylvania in consideration of the sum of sixty pounds lawful money of the state of Pennsylvania to me in hand paid by Mary Mitchell widow of the said County Township & state aforesaid befor [sic] the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt where of I do hereby acknowledge Have granted bargained & setover & sold & by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto said Mary Mitchell & to her heirs & assigns one hundred Acres of land situate on the twelve mile run including her improvement adjoining lands of Wm Lockrey on the south east & Jonas Campbell & Wm Greir on the north west in mount pleaasant Township & County aforesaid to have & to hold the said described one hundred acres of land & premises unto the aforesaid Mary Mitchell her heirs & assigns forever subject to the payment of the purchase money interest due & to become due on the same to the Lords of the soil In witness were of I have hereunto set my hand & afixed my seal the twenty third day of April one thousand seven hundred & eighty four. Personally came John Proctor before me the subscriber one of the Commonwealth Justices of the peace & Common pleas for said County & acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his Act & Deed & desires the same may be recorded as such according to law.
