In obedience to the [...] petition to us directed Daniel Hopkins and Eli Howel two of the Justices of the county of Edgecombe, for the purpose of taking the private examination of Susannah Mooring wife of John Mooring Junr touching the conveyance of a certain tract or parcel of Land which fell to the Sd Susannah Mooring by her decd farther Arthur Staton, questioned by us, did you ever assign a deed of conveyance of the Sd Land to Wilson Howard, ansr I did question did you do it by free consent and a Willing mind ansr I did question did you do it through fear or compulsion by your husband John Mooring Jnr or any other person or not anr I did not but I did it with a willing mind and without any compulsion. Signd and acknowledged in the presents of us Feby 11th 1826
